The SuperPOSITRON is an international, all-female and non-binary virtual hackathon hosted by Superposition Toronto, Toronto's largest student-led women in STEM organization. We aim to bring women into STEM by allowing them to learn by doing, in a welcoming, supportive environment where they can explore and build their confidence.

Join us at The SuperPOSITRON August 13 to 15 for a weekend of learning, building, and networking. There will be 20+ technical and career-building workshops, networking opportunities, fun activities with the chance to win limited edition swag, over $62,000 in prizes, and $600 FREE TECH just for joining! We are also international and virtual, so you can join in from anywhere in the world!

No coding experience is required. We will hold introductory workshops during "Liftoff", the week leading up to the hackathon to help develop your coding skills and give you all the tools you need to build a project of your own. No project submission is required either! You are free to come just for workshops and networking.

Wolfram Award: The SuperPOSITRON Finalists (10)

The Wolfram Award will be awarded to each member of the top teams at The SuperPOSITRON. Wolfram tech is not required to be used in projects for award eligibility. This award is for a year of Wolfram|One Personal Edition plus a one-year subscription to Wolfram|Alpha Pro.

Best Pitch

$25 gift card for each member of the team to a location of their choosing.

Best Design

Each member of the team with the best designed submission, focusing on aesthetics, user experience and intuitiveness will receive a LITENERGY Portable A4 Tracing LED Copy Board Light Box.

1517 Fund: Most Novel Hack (2)

1517 is a venture capital firm that backs founders at the earliest stages of their careers and companies. They work with young hackers, makers, scientists, and founders working outside of tracked institutions all over the world. Two winning teams will each receive a $1K grant, $10K of AWS credits, and continued mentorship from the 1517 team for the most novel hack they see. Must be in undergrad or high school and interested in continuing to work on the project following the event.

Best Solo Hack

The Best Solo Hack award will be awarded to the best project made by a team of one. The winner will receive a pair of Airpods.

Best Social Impact

Fitbit Inspire 2 for each member of the winning team.

Qoom: Best Web App Challenge

Teams must use the Qoom platform to be eligible for this prize. The winning team will receive a 1-year Pro Plan package, an invitation to the Qoom Creator Group, and be featured in the Qoom Project Gallery.
